Ranges

A Range includes both a cooktop (stovetop) and an oven. Also can be called a stove.

Cooktops

Cooktops are flat appliances built into cabinets, usually with 4 heating "elements" to cook using pots and pans.

Ovens

Ovens are standalone appliances that can be built into cabinets used for roasting and baking. They do not include a cooktop.

Dishwashers

Dishwashers are used to automatically clean dishes, cookware and cutlery. They can be portable but are usually built into cabinetry in the kitchen.

Refrigerators

A refrigerator maintains a compartmentalized space below room temperature. They come in many configurations and usually include a sub-freezing compartment.

Freezers

Freezers maintain a boxed space at sub-freezing temperature to assist in long-term food storage. They come in various sizes and generally in vertical or horizontal confirgurations.

Microwaves

Microwaves cook or heat food by passing electromagnetic waves through it. Generally, types include: counter-top, over-the-range & built-in to cabinetry.

Washers

Washers are used to automatically clean clothing and other textiles. They are generally divided into top-load and front-load, though options and models vary widely

Dryers

Dryers are used to automatically extract moisture from clothing by using heat and a tumbling action. There are many options available across several models. They often asthetically match with washers.
